Reflection

In our class discussion, we were tasked to watch two kinds of video, one from another country while the other was from our own. In each video contains different message each concerning how to handle our course in which we are currently taking up now, Education.

Watching those video made me wonder, what is the reason that I am taking up this course? Was it because I wanted to help mold the future? Or was it because I wanted to do what my former teachers did to me to others. Then reflecting on those thoughts, I finally understood why.

Then there is the issue where it is said that when you have graduated and got a job then that is when the learning journey ends, but no, as what my Philosophy instructor had once said, “Learn as if you were to live forever”.

Getting back on the topic at hand, my decision on being a future educator was right. To teach not only the intended subject but also how to survive life, to help the needy, to encourage children to pursue their dreams for a better tomorrow, to mold their morals, I may not be able to gain my expected results early but it would be a great fulfillment to the heart to know that I myself had helped a child in opening their creativity in life.

I may have lacks in some part of my teaching skills but by “stealing” ideas from others would help me enhance more perspective and creativity in helping the students understand what I am trying to relay unto them.
